Can you pick your APR (finance rate) when purchasing a used car?

Q) I'm looking online and the payment estimate calculator asks for the APR. I'm just browsing for the future.

A) You can negotiate with the lender. Before you go to the lender though & even before you begin to shop for a new or used vehicle you should always have an up to date check done on your credit rating & FICO score...the small investment in time & cost could save you from a few hundred to well over one thousand. When you know these facts you have much more barginning power in terms of rates on loans etc..shop around for the best rate you can get...if all other things are even go with the lender who is willing to give you the lowest rate. Just be sure to read the fine print before signing anything.
