Where can I find a high risk personal loan?

Q) I'm in California and am looking for a lender that can finance a $6-$8,000 personal loan to pay off some debts. I have a decent paying job, and am willing to pay a larger interest rate. I have tried credit.com, AIG, among others suggested on this site. Has anyone found a new lender? I've also tried citifinancial.

A) it's called bank robbery and this defense has never worked. hahahaha Sorry. Seriously, I doubt you will get an unsecured loan without a co-signer if you have bad credit. You'll be lucky to get a secured loan without a co-signer. Good luck though; hope your medical issues are behind you now.

I applied for a personal loan but because I'm a high credit risk I have to pay 7 months in advance is this ok?

Q) I have really bad credit and the company sees me as being a 'high credit risk' and are asking me to pay 7 months in advance of my monthly installment. I'm not sure if this is normal or a scam and I need some suggestions. The company that I actually applied declined me but sought out another lender.

A) I have never heard of a company that wants that much in advance. Mine didn't, I was also high risk. I had bad credit. The loan that I got was a small loan of $500, my first payment was about $60 and my monthly payments after that was only $43. Your first payment is usually a little higher but not 7 months of payments up front sounds like a scam. If you had that kind of money, you wouldn't be at a loan company. Find another company, call the Better Business Bureau. If it's the one that says send us $500 and they'll send you the money you need in 36 hours, it is a SCAM. Search the name on the Internet and see what comes up. That's how I found out Kensington, I think that was the name for it, had a whole list of their scams.

Would you be willing to invest in a high risk loan for 28.75% if you knew they had a great job?

Q) We make over 80,000 a year and we have a bad credit rating because of a health issue and some not so smart choices. We are trying to get a loan to pay off everything on our credit (less than 7000.00) not counting our car loan (up in FEB 07) and our house (we owe110,000 and it is worth 135,000, but can't get a home equity loan in TX b/c of the refiance only 80% law.) We can afford a payment of up to 475.00 a month. I have a listing on Prosper, but I only have a few bids right now. The listing is under gandbcole if you want to find out a little more about us. I just need to know where to find a private investor that wants to carry a loan for 2 yrs at a 28.75% rate. I do not mind paying the high interest if I can get rid of all the old on my credit and only have good stuff showing to improve it. What should I do? I would even sign a personal guarantee putting up the equity on my home for collateral. Just do not know where to look.

A) New debt does not solve the problem of old debt. My suggestion is that you sit down one weekend and schedule out every dollar you spend on a daily basis. Then, categorize that according to absolute musts (i.e., mortgage payment, health costs and food). Then, decide what other things you are spending money on that are not that necessary. Take that money and pay off the old debt.

Obtaining a unsecured loan right under $10,000 w/ bad credit- looking to re-establish credit; ever obtained 1?

Q) That's just it too. Took out 3 cards when I turned 18 maxed them, & didn't pay them (same old story, statistic); I have an old hospital bill as well from a very bad stomach virus. Now my credit is obviously bad, that's what you get!!! Now I am almost 23, I'm more than ready to start establishing positivies on my credit.
